20. Arrival in Sicily 

We arrived at Milazzo at a marina called Poseidon to be greeted by Alessandra, the marina staff  who was very helpful and cheery. 

Milazzo obviously had an affluent past with attractive late 1800 type houses on the front many now quite dilapidated. What was fascinating was the Fishermen with their little stalls selling the days catch and later the farmers arriving to sell their produce from the back of their cars. We bought some courgettes for less than a euro. It was also lovely to see a grandad and boy fishing next to Dalliance3. The grandad teaching him how to hold the line with his fingers to feel the bite!

He caught a fish! But then the fish got away, and the boy burst into tears - he was so angry!!

His Grandad was consoling him and so was his Grandad's old friend. 

From here we set sail for the Aeolian Islands
