7. The Tuscan islands Giglio and Giannutri

In Giglio we anchored in a beautiful bay. The water was so clear. We had a swim - it was wonderful.

We had a peaceful night and after breakfast I looked up and suddenly saw an Armada of small motorboats arriving for a day's picnic. We were surrounded by jostling boats trying to put their anchors down. Each boat packed with Mun, Dad, children and of course Grandma. Time for us to go!!

                                                    Isola Giglio

We headed off to Isola Giannutri. The small horseshoe island which is a nature reserve and quite restricted. Only access is to the bay in the horseshoe. It was very deep anchoring but wonderful.
