48. Palmi Marina for a few days..

Well I have had my grumble in the last post (see It's not all plain sailing part 2)
Although frustrated with the engine battery we did some shopping and went to a restaurant.
Walking quite some way to the mini market (like a Spa shop) we could see the place seemed a little run down. The beach was busy as it is August and there were some beach restaurants. When we got to the shop Les was able to pick out most of what she wanted and we ended up at the end of the Shop to see the Cold meats and Cheeses and other Italian delights. As we looked at what to get the man said he had been to London and stayed in Kings Cross for two weeks. I am not sue I would do that. Anyway he was plying us with samples which he prepared on crusty bread which we could not refuse likewise we felt obligated to buy! They were delicious.  He kept on calling Les, Princess. We of course walked out of the shop with a lot more than we intended.
I do like the cold gourmet preparations like olives, parmangio, pickled mushrooms, melanzana etc..
