36. REGUSA IBLA AT NIGHT
We decided to revisit Regusa Ibla a second time as it was so interesting. At night the towns takes on a different character. For a start there are people out in the streets and the familes and groups of friends parading up and down and queuing for a Gelato at the Gelateria but interestingly I did not see any sandwich ice creams so possibly not as popular in the South Coast as the North Coast.

Restaurants in abundance giving a warm atmosphere to the town

Well we have visited and explored the Baroque towns where Montalbano solved the intricate crimes of Sicily showing us not only the Baroque towns on the TV screen but also the Sicilian way of life and traditions woven into the stories. Seeing Baroque in Palermo, Trepani, Modena, Scicli, and Ragusa and Ragusa Ibla. We are now about to visit the Baroque town of Noto.
Well done diligent photographer! Some lovely atmospheric shots and the rippling repeating forms of the facade of the duomo are stunning. Ruth, Al and I tried a Moltanbano to savour the architecture but just couldn't get on with it. The plot was too jokey and cartoon-like, everyone shouting at each other at top speed. A pity. M x
