47. Swordfish boat in detail

Palmi was mainly a fishing boat harbour and one of the fishing boats was a Swordfish boat so I thought some detailed photos would be interesting and I also had one burning question which needed an answer.

The long bowsprit with all the stays to support it.

Well the steering wheel is not here !

The boat is steered from the top of the tower!

You can see the extraordinary length of the bowsprit. 

It ends with a little red flag at the tip - for obvious reasons.
